What is Mahamrityunjaya Jaap?

Mahamrityunjaya Jaap is the sacred chanting of the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra — one of the most powerful mantras in the Vedic tradition, found in the Rigveda (7.59.12) and Yajurveda. The mantra is dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as the conqueror of death (Mrityunjaya).

The mantra reads: "Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam, Urvarukamiva Bandhanan Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat" — meaning "We worship the three-eyed Lord Shiva who nourishes all beings; may He liberate us from death as a ripe cucumber is freed from its vine."

At Prey Pandit, our pandits perform Mahamrityunjaya Jaap with 108, 1008, or 11000 repetitions as per your requirement, with complete devotion and proper Vedic procedures.
